Engine Serial Number Lookup Cummins카테고리 없음 2020. 2. 21. 19:39
Cummins engines are found in nearly every type of vehicle and equipment on Earth. Familiarizing yourself with your Cummins Engine Serial Number (ESN) can save you a lot of time when ordering parts for your diesel engine.Look for the DataplateCummins Engine Serial Number (ESN) is located on the dataplate. Dataplates on engines often include additional information, such as CPL (Critical Parts List), horsepower, and RPM rating. Dataplates can sometimes be hard to locate because they are often in different positions based on the engines’ model. It will be good to refer to your owner’s manual for the location of your dataplate.Numbers OnlyCummins ESN’s are eight digits long with no accompanying letters. They are written in sequence, based on which engine was assembled first in line.
If you still could not locate the ESN, look for the Critical Parts List (CPL) which is unique to Cummins engines. This is a list of the critical parts of the engine. Different engines can have the same CPL’s that’s why there are a fewer CPL’s than ESN’s.
A CPL can be used when ordering most major parts of an engine.Who to CallAt we carry a full line of products from well- known brands, including Cummins. By kblackav8or - Friday, May 02, 2008 5:54 PMI have done my best to locate my serial number. The best I can do is find a cast in number on the passenger side of the block. The tag on the accessory drive is gone or so well covered in paint to not be apparent that it is there. Anyway I pulled the numbers off the pump and off the block. It is a 80's era Big Cam III (original motor was a BCII) The number cast in the block on the RH side is 3031150. I am suspicious that may only be a part or casting number.
On my PT pump the tag says this:625 3969 1130 8347I think at some point I would like to order a new tag from Cummins. I looked as best as I could around the compressor and behind all that stuff and I just can't see anything.
With the power steering pump and other stuff it just isn't easy to see anything back there. Any additional information I will file away for later. I was there today to 'put her to bed' The batteries are disconnected, a bunch of diesel fuel stabilizer added, locking caps, plastic coffee cans on the stacks and I think that is about the best I can do. Hopefully the Marines will keep her safe in there (one would hope).KevinBy GoldenGoat - Friday, May 02, 2008 6:04 PMKevin, Look under the #3 head on the driver's side. Just below where the head meets the block. That is your engine serial #. I used that number off of mine and then called cummins and they gave my my CPL #.
The engine in my W900 is the Factory engine.By kblackav8or - Friday, May 02, 2008 6:07 PMGonna be a while to do that unless it can be seen in one of my photos.By johnperkosr - Saturday, May 03, 2008 1:26 AMim in the same boat as you on a missing tag,on you later model motor like goat said it should be under the #3head on the block at rear drivers side,on my early motor its in the front under #1 head, but i had a add on a//c comp there and i havent took it off to look yetBy glenn akers - Saturday, May 03, 2008 4:00 PM. Was told by previous owner that he thought it was a 335 and that the way it was setup and green paint on it that it was originally an industrial engine of some sort - maybe even from large construction equipment?
It fits and looks fine but the only #'s on the block are behind the fuelpupm/air compressor. They are:Part 180904then under that-1000100CDanybody have any idea on these #'s.Took them to my local KW dealer who is usually really good (cummins dealer) and they drew a blank. Thanks for any assistance!By Cooter - Saturday, May 03, 2008 4:32 PMAlso -I did not know I could get a new engine tag. Cummins Engine Vin Number Lookup
I'm assuming that 180904 would be very old. Is yours a big bore or small with the external fuel lines?By Cooter - Sunday, May 04, 2008 6:39 AMcant remember - will have to check.By chrisL - Sunday, May 04, 2008 10:57 AMHey here is a pic.
Cummins Engine Serial Number Guide
I put a piece of masking tape on the #'s to show where they are.Right above the plastic fuel can. They are only about 3/8 inch tall.Photos no longer available. These photos were posted on another site and the links no longer work. Shifty (7/2/2011)You're sayin' there are numbers here. I'm assuming stamped numbers? Shifty (7/4/2011)Thanks for that info Glenn. I've saved it, and will find a piece of scap aluninum to stamp it onto.
Anything I ever drove that had a Cummins had a data plate. Might be crusted over with grime, but was there. Leave it to me to bring one home that don't have one. You been lookin at my stamp set must be. I keep saying Vanna give me a whatever letter I need.
I use to buy the blank tags here from peterbilt for a few years and may still be able to get them.By Geoff Weeks - Tuesday, July 05, 2011 9:02 AMI've got a few, PM me if you want one. I need some for myself to replace old ones, but can spare one for you if you need one. I heard Cummins wasn't selling them anymore because they didn't want people to re-tag aan old engine showing that it met newer specs when it doesn't. Don't know if there is any truth to that statement or not.By dover - Sunday, December 18, 2011 4:48 PMI am a little confused.
Is the 262's serial number on the left front? I have found a few casting numbers behind the compressor, but that is it.
